FireFox 3.5 Almost

firefox35The popular web browser from Mozilla is almost close to a full release pending the resolution of problems that have surfaced during the release of the current release candidate. Release candidates can be seen as prototypes that may look much like the final release version in many ways but is more for diagnostic and beta-testing purposes. Some versions once installed can be upgraded online through the internet where the full-blown release will be available, changing parts of the program that were changed during final release. There have been quite a lot of bugs that have surfaced which may push back the release date a bit, scheduled for early June. (more…)

Between IDE and SATA Hardisk. The Power of Conversion.

The converter gives different results between the motherboards with chipset ich7 and ich8 when I install OSX pc version.

At first, I use the converter on Gigabyte 945P to connect the ide drives to the sata ports on the motherboard. It works perfect in OSX PC system, no matter harddisks or DVD writers. You can take the unit combining the harddisk and the converter equal to a REAL sata drive.

Because the ich8 does not support IDE devices, I consider it would be a good way to build sata drives. When I connect IDE hardisk and DVD drive to the sata ports of the motherboard Gigabyte 965P-DS3, DVD drive can not boot and hardisk can not be shown in Disk Utility. I am sure the CMOS are configured right (disable sata native mode), and the real sata harddisks are shown.
